Sunny in Martin

10:02
and the first today's briefing is right now in progress. We still don't have tasks for today and will wait a bit. There are patches of fog visible to the south from the airfield and cirrus clouds over it so the way to the south is still blocked. North looks much better now and the idea is to set tasks to the north but again we will have to deal with cloud cover approaching quite fast from the south and possible rain showers during the day.

As usually

we had to cancel this day due to weather development...

Briefing postponed

2010-05-07  10:35
to 12:00. We see window of clear sky some 70km south of us. We watch carefully development and will wait if weather will improve here to allow the task. There is some water on apron grass, but we checked runway and is good for take offs. Without water ballast I mean.

Situation in Bratislava

13:39
one competitor flying club class who is in the capital city Bratislava sends us one MMS with weather situation there to remember us that sometimes cumulus clouds are existing. Hope to see them here in next days too :)

wet runway and other pleasures

2010-05-06 10:55
day is canceled. No big news here, but today the main reason is state of the runway. Overnight rainfall made it very soft and wet, so even the window which should come from south to us will not be usable. We had to limit movement of the cars in the camp and on runway too. I hope it will dry up for next 24hrs, because low pressure should weaken and there is chance of flyable weather to come. We need two more flying days, and if there will be one successful day until Saturday, we will use reserve day on Sunday.

and another one...

2010-05-05                                                                                                           12:28
it is getting very same every day. It is frustrating after all that effort of people involved were invested into preparation. People are still in relatively good mood but we feel they would love to fly again. Could someone please move that low pressure area somewhere else?
