wet runway and other pleasures

day is canceled. No big news here, but today the main reason is state of the runway. Overnight rainfall made it very soft and wet, so even the window which should come from south to us will not be usable. We had to limit movement of the cars in the camp and on runway too. I hope it will dry up for next 24hrs, because low pressure should weaken and there is chance of flyable weather to come. We need two more flying days, and if there will be one successful day until Saturday, we will use reserve day on Sunday.

it is getting very same every day. It is frustrating after all that effort of people involved were invested into preparation. People are still in relatively good mood but we feel they would love to fly again. Could someone please move that low pressure area somewhere else?

unfortunatelly another day is cancelled. Window of opened skies was imediatelly filled with growing cumulus clouds with showers, and at 2PM even high level clouds start to move over the airfield from SW. Pilots taking gliders back from grid to the trailers, to dry up the raindrops from wings. We must hope for better luck tomorrow.

at 13:15. Window was too small and the air mass too humid to raise the cloud base to favorable levels plus expected higher level clouds covered the area a bit earlier.

after two days of no hope weather, we see sunshine here! Well not much but there is window in the south, just for a short task. Right now, wet clouds are low over the mountains, but it is early and after the night rain we will have to wait a bit. Runway is quite wet too, so we decided to put grid on 36 and Combi class will go without water ballast today. 11:45 will be second briefing with tasks, and 12:15 possible first launch. Tasks (AAT for both classes) will be be published soon. Keep your finger crossed!

window of good weather is in Soth Slovakia, but there is unstable airmass and more clouds are developing in that window. Even if it will reachour area there will be too late for a task. Unfortunatelly we have to cancel the day. See you tomorrow at 10.00

at brifing at 10:00 we declared official winners for day 1, and we called next briefing for 12:00. There is window approaching us from south, but we have to wait and see if it will reach us early enough to make today´s  task possible.

weather is not very favourable, overcast clouds, some rain overnight and more should come during the day. It will be no sunshine to get thermals started here for even shortest task. Thats why we called day off for today and hope for better day tomorrow. Pilots planning some trip to aquaparks, restaurants,  cinemas and other activities.

but there is some problem with the soaringspot. If pilot did not crossed the start line he disappeared from the results page. Its only in Club class and glider H7 and LL are affected. If you don't see you there do not be scared that we deleted you from the list. We already wrote an email to Naviter hoping for correction. There were some lightnings few minutes ago in Martin and the air is now fresh after rain.
